3D Printed Product Samples

One of the primary areas on which data quality has interested me the most in recent years is how 3D printing impacts dimensional data and rapid prototyping.

The original method of making a full-scale (often production-grade) sample (particularly of large products, such as furniture) always struck me as inefficient - especially in the earlier stages of product development.

In 2022, I teamed up with 3D printing experts to offer scale models of products being made in China, for review in UK before comissioning a full-scale production prototype.

These scale models not only allow the client to confirm overall style, dimensions and design are accurate, but also allow for greatly reduced costs for time and shipping.

wWhat would have cost 6 valuable weeks and upward of $1,000 USD (even before shipping costs) is now heppening in a matter of days for a fraction of the cost.

"It's incredible to shave so many weeks off of our product development life cycle. We are saving so much time and money by changing this early prototyping method."

Tools, Software, & Partners

It is thanks to some incredible tech companies, software providers and SaaS organisations, that I am able to be as effective as I am.

You will recognise many, I'm sure, and may even see some you don't recognise.
